More clock making

If you haven't been hanging around here long, you may not know that I like to make clocks (see here, here, here, and here, to name a few). At this point, I've run out rooms to put clocks in at my house, and am close to running out of people to gift them to. I thought maybe someone on the internets would like to buy some so I can keep making them, so I opened an etsy store:

I have a grand total of one item listed at the moment; theoretically I will be adding more stuff soon. =)

Updated 2/26: Sooo someone bought the clock already! Wow. I guess I will be making more things sooner than I thought!

Ryder's Christmas gift to me:

pipe candlestick
A pair of candlesticks made of pipe! I am very excited. There are a few more pictures to see. Oh, and the Cheez-its in the background - also my gift. =)

a new crafty venture from winck n’ crane!

winck n' crane logoSeveral months ago, a friend and I heard rumor of a craft fair that our church was going to host in the fall. Both being craftily-inclined, we thought it would be great fun to have a table at the craft fair together. Under the banner of Winck n' Crane, we made our debut. We debated selling our custom children's clothing online if the craft fair were either very successful, or very unsuccessful (thus leaving us with unsold merchandise that needs a good home!)

Well, the craft fair garnered a rather limited audience, but having sold a few pieces each, we decided to launch Winck n' Crane, an online children's clothing boutique. We're in the process of adding more items to our store. We also started a blog, where we're currently running a contest to name our winking crane logo. Submit a name (or two!) and win some lovely prizes from Winck n' Crane.

It’s a jacket! It’s a buttoned jacket! It’s a…

My lovely sister, Chloe, request a clock for her new apartment. Not one to waste an opportunity to make something unexpected, Ryder and I brainstormed and came up with this combo jacket/clock, to be worn or hung.

A picture of the jacket in its "worn" state will be posted as soon as Chloe wears it and takes a picture (hint, hint).
